The Hyatt Regency Denver is conveniently located in the heart of downtown Denver. It can be reached in approximately 25 minutes from Denver International Airport via rental car, taxi, shuttle van, or limousine. Public bus transportation also is available between downtown Denver and the airport.

Attractions such as the 16^th Street pedestrian mall, numerous restaurants of all kinds, the Denver Center for the Performing Arts, and various points of interest (such as the U.S. Mint and the Denver Art Museum) are within easy walking distance from the Hyatt. Shuttles also are available for travel to ski areas in the nearby Rocky Mountains and to the towns of Blackhawk and Central City, the two historic mining towns near Denver where low-stakes gambling and casino-style entertainment are available.

Room reservations can be made by telephone, fax, or via the Web. If calling or faxing your reservation information, please inform the hotel that you are attending the China & East Asia 2000 Symposium so that you will receive the best available daily rate for your room.

If you wish to register via the Hyatt web site, please go to http://www.hyatt.com. The following instructions will help expedite your registrations process:

1. Once you are at the Hyatt home page, enter "Denver" in the Destination Keyword box.
2. The Denver page then will appear. The Symposium hotel is the "Hyatt Regency Denver" (the upper one of the two choices available). Choose the "Reservations" option at the bottom of the Hyatt Regency Denver box to arrange for your hotel room.
3. The Hyatt Regency Denver page then will appear, with boxes to fill in for your room preference information. If you are a Hyatt Gold Passport member, enter your member number in that box. To receive the conference rate for your hotel room, you MUST enter the number "54855" in the "SRC Number" box! Then click on the "Check Availability" box at the bottom of the preferences list.
4. A list of rooms available, within the limits of your room requirements, then will appear. To finish registering, simply choose the type of room you prefer and follow the subsequent reservation instructions.
5. If the web reservation system is not responding, please either try again later or call 1-800-233-1234 (in North America), or 303-295-1234 outside North America, to place your reservation by phone.

The Hyatt Regency Denver web site also provides more detailed information about the hotel, including selected views of parts of the hotel, and nearby attractions in downtown Denver. For this information. please choose the "Information" option (next to the "Reservations" option) at the bottom of the Hyatt Regency Denver box. A set of options then will appear at the left side of the web page for your selection.
