Boards of Registration and/or Certification for Geologists
Presented is a compilation of information about the Geological Boards of Registration and/or Certification. This information was provided by DMC Member Graham Curtis, and was derived from p. 12 of the November 2,001 AIPG publication, "The Professional Geologist." Updates and variations from, and corrections to, the original have been made in many cases. Unfortunately, there are many discrepancies between the three categories of original information: the AIPG, the ASBOG, and the individual states, themselves. To correct these obvious errors, that will continue to propagate as information changes (mail addresses, telephone & fax numbers, Web-Site addresses, etc.), a great deal more work would have to be done to derive an up‑to‑date data base of perishable information. Notwithstanding, enough information is provided to enable those genuinely interested to acquire the correct present information.
