RESOURCES VENTURES & PROSPECTS
The resources industry is comprised of a few large, wellknown firms, many midsize firms and innumerable small firms and individuals: all seek to earn a living, directly or indirectly, from the bounty of the earth. Even the simplest of resources ventures usually requires several people, each with different knowledge and capabilities (financial, legal, technological, etc.). To enable these different people to meet to discuss resources ventures of mutual interest, this section is provided as a public service at no charge by RTSC.
Anyone interested in a particular venture or prospect should directly contact the person listed.
If you wish to have a listing posted here, EMail

Comments: Jim retired from the U.S. Geological Survey on 1 August, 1995, after 37 years of geophysical and geological work.
Since then, he has been working as a Consulting Geologist/Geophysicist.
Those who wish a copy of his resume or are interested in information about his fee schedule, terms, etc., can contact him at the above.
Jim's outstanding contributions to the DMC is acknowledged with gratitude by all members.
September 14th, 2,000 wasJim Pitkin's
last day as the DMC's Speaker Selection Committee Chairman,
which he managed with distinction for five years.
Jim's numerous contacts in the mining industry and the universally high-regard with which he is viewed made him an outstanding
Speaker Selection Committee Chairman.
Jim's reactivation of his mining exploration ventures in Arizona, New Mexico and old Mexico, where he has considerable experience, has left him without time to continue as an active DMC Officer.
Jim's present exploration activities are centered on the mineral resources of northwestern Mexico and the adjacent USA.
Jim recommends:
- Grupo Mexico fly an integrated helicopter geophysical survey across North-Central and North-West Sonora and South-East and South-West New Mexico.
The geophysical survey, consisting of electromagnetic, magnetic and natural radioactivity measurements, should be flown at 400 feet above ground level at 1/8th mile spacing.
- Only the electromagnetic analysis portion be subcontracted
- Only the following firms be considered for prime data acquisition contractor:
- CGI
- Dighem
- HighSense
- Sander
- Scintrex
- Sial
- Terraquest
- World
- Jim proposes to monitor the airborne survey, do groundchecking after the survey is completed, and advise on contractors and subcontractors.
